B2K are to receive the Outstanding Contribution to R&B Award at the 24th Annual Urban Music Awards, it has been announced, with the ceremony set to take place in London on 15 December 2026.
The honour recognises the group's enduring contribution to R&B, pop culture and youth music, celebrating a career that helped define an era and continues to influence artists and fans around the world.
An Era-Defining Career
Formed in the early 2000s, B2K became one of the most recognisable R&B groups of their generation, building a global fanbase through a run of hit records, major tours, memorable performances and a distinctive style that became synonymous with early-2000s R&B culture.
Their impact extended far beyond chart success. The group's music, visuals, performances and connection with younger audiences helped shape the sound and image of a generation, while their influence continues to be reflected in contemporary R&B and pop culture.
The Outstanding Contribution to R&B Award will be presented to B2K as part of a major series of special honours at this year's ceremony.
"B2K are an important part of modern R&B history. Their music, performances and cultural impact helped define an era, and their influence is still felt today. The 24th Annual Urban Music Awards is about recognising artists whose contribution has genuinely shaped the culture, and B2K absolutely represent that."A spokesperson for the Urban Music Awards
